Naveen is a shy dog looking for some respite from the shelter havoc and would love to show somebody who he is in a quiet environment. He does well working with staff and volunteers while out for training sessions (Naveen is currently on our Headstart team getting one-on-one training sessions to help build confidence and is typically treat-motivated) but can take some time to warm up to unfamiliar people and would benefit from slow introductions. Due to his cautious nature, he should not go with dogs or kids under 5 and would do best meeting any kids under 12. We do not have history on Naveen living with cats, so he should be kept separate initially followed by a slow integration. Naveen has been noted to have a prey drive and should not go to a home with birds or barnyard animals.

How to Foster Naveen:

New fosters can take the first step by learning about fostering and signing up to become a new foster. Veteran foster parents can email fosters@hshv.org to schedule a pickup appointment.
