Pancake is struggling with the confinement of a kennel. He showed similar behavior when previously briefly adopted and does not handle being crated in the home either. He would be most successful in a home where he does not have to be left alone for extended periods and where level of confinement can be reduced. When he is comfortable he is a goofy, cuddly companion! He may be able to go to a foster home with another dog, but does have some history with resource guarding high value foods, so feeding and other high value items will need to be given separately. Due to his history of resource guarding he would do best in a home without small children. He does not have any history with cats, but would likely be most comfortable in a foster home without any feline friends.
How to Foster Pancake:
New fosters can take the first step by learning about fostering and signing up to become a new foster. Veteran foster parents can email fosters@hshv.org to schedule a pickup appointment.
