Adopt a Pet-of-the-Week!

These are some of our staff’s favorite animals. Shout out to our media partners for helping homeless pets find great homes! You can listen to us talk about these Pets of the Week on Thursdays around 7:30 a.m. on Ann Arbor’s 107one, 8:05 a.m. on WTKA, and around 10 a.m. on Saturday on 1290 AM WLBY.

The Ann Arbor’s 107one Pet-of-the-week is Torta!

Torta is social, outgoing, snuggly and confident! She’s ready to jump into your life and make herself right at home. If you’re looking for a playful, sweet companion, she could be just the right fit!

Torta is Feline Leukemia (FeLV) positive. FeLV is a serious virus that is contagious to other cats (but not contagious to people or other species of animals). It may cause a shortened lifespan, but FeLV cats have so much fun and love to give. Please call or come in to find out more.

Interested in adopting me? When adopting a small mammal from us, we do require a photo of the cage and where the animal will be housed, as well as what kind of bedding you plan on using. This photo can be on your cell phone!

All the animals available for adoption through the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on their vaccinations and have a microchip I.D. which is included in their affordable adoption fee.

The WTKA Top-Dog-of-the-Week is Yui!

Hi my name is Yui! I am a good girl and I am looking for an active adopter willing to offer training and exercise, but in return I can offer unconditional love and years of happiness. I do have some big feelings about some things in this world and tend to express this by reacting with barking and may be a bit too much for some families. I will need to continue my training and HSHV offers classes for dogs like me! Visit www.hshv.org for more information.

The Lucy Ann Lance Show Pet-of-the-Week is Toast!

Hi my name is Toast! I am a shy dog who is looking for a patient adopter who is willing to give me time to adjust and open up in my new home. Once I get more comfortable, I will come out of my shell and start to show more of my true personality. I have been shy around other dogs so I would need to meet potential dog siblings before adoption. With my fearful personality currently, I would do best in a home without kids under 5, and possibly would do best in a home without children under 12 as well. If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an adoption survey online or in the shelter. I would love to meet you!
