Adopt a Pet-of-the-Week!

These are some of our staff’s favorite animals. Shout out to our media partners for helping homeless pets find great homes! You can listen to us talk about these Pets of the Week on Thursdays around 7:30 a.m. on Ann Arbor’s 107one, 8:05 a.m. on WTKA, and around 10 a.m. on Saturday on 1290 AM WLBY.

The Ann Arbor's 107one Pet-of-the-week is Tarragon!

The Ann Arbor’s 107one Pet-of-the-week is Tarragon!

Tarragon is one of those sparkly, easygoing dogs who gets along with everyone: she enjoys visiting youth programs and going on field trips with our Humane Education team to the Washtenaw Juvenile Detention Center, spreading joy wherever she goes. Tarragon would do well in an active household, with plenty of exercise and adventure. She can be selective when it comes to new canine friends, and would like to meet any potential dog siblings before going home; she may also do best in a home without young kids due to her energy level.
All animals available for adoption through the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on their vaccinations and have a microchip I.D. which is included in their affordable adoption fee.

The WTKA Top-Dog-of-the-Week is Osta!

The WTKA Top-Dog-of-the-Week is Osta!

Osta is a medium-sized girl with large-sized feelings and an extra large heart. This strong 46lb 2-year-old is very curious about the world. She is looking for a forever home where she can continue to pursue her interests, which are not limited to: tap dancing, ballet, opera, and the occasional sniffari.
Osta would do best in a home without small children. Although she is exceptionally sweet and affectionate, she can be nervous with new folks. (Right now, Osta’s own sudden movements are the only ones she can fully trust). She might do well with a doggy sibling, but must meet them prior to adoption. Our staff will be happy to facilitate an intro—just ask! For more info on Osta, contact HSHV at (734) 662-5585 or adoptions@hshv.org

The Lucy Ann Lance Show Pet-of-the-Week is Marlo!

The Lucy Ann Lance Show Pet-of-the-Week is Marlo!

Marlo’s a staff favorite: shy but very sweet, loves to hang out, get treats lay his big ol’ head in your lap. If you’re patient with Marlo and can give him time to settle in, you’ll see what an affectionate adventure buddy he can be. He’s looking for a home without kids under 5, and possibly without other dogs — but maybe a canine companion will work out if he meets them first! We don’t know his history with cats, but can give advice on a slow introduction.
Marlo has been at HSHV for over a month. Let’s not make it two! Come visit him any day of the week or call 734-662-5585 to learn more.
