Age: 1   Sex: Male   Breed: Shih Tzu Mix    Weight: 8 lbs    Restrictions: No Kids Under 12, Needs Quiet Room/Space to Decompress

Pinconning is a small, fearful dog who has been quite uncomfortable since arriving at the shelter. He hangs out in a quiet room and has not been comfortable enough to go for a walk yet. We would love to see what his personality looks like in a home environment. Pinconning will grumble/growl when he feels uncomfortable and retreats to his crate. He did start seeking attention from a staff member recently and allowing gentle pets but retreating when he felt overwhelmed. He will need a foster that can respect his boundaries and is willing to take things slowly. We do not have any history on him with other dogs or cats. Due to his current state of fearfulness, he will need a separate space in the home and some time to get comfortable before introducing to any resident pets. He would do best in a quieter home without young children.

How to Foster Pinconning:

New fosters can take the first step by learning about fostering and signing up to become a new foster. Veteran foster parents can email fosters@hshv.org to schedule a pickup appointment.
