I came to HSHV in early August looking to adopt a kitten. As a first time adopter, I wasn’t really sure how the process worked. Luckily the staff was very kind and helpful and after doing some quick paperwork, I was able to go meet the cats. I went into one of the communal rooms with multiple cats, and there was one who wouldn’t leave my side. He wanted to play, cuddle, and stay by me. I took a photo of him and told HSHV that he was the one.

After adopting him, Silas did take a few days to warm up to his new lifestyle, which is totally understandable. Now that he’s settled in, he has been the best kitty. He loved to play fetch, cuddle on the couch, and lounge in his window bed. He also enjoys when I have guests over – I don’t think Silas has ever met a person he doesn’t like. Thank you, HSHV, for allowing me to provide Silas with a forever home! I think it’s fair to say both of us would highly recommend. 🙂
