After 26 years with cats, followed by 4 years without, I was chosen by Sassy Vanilla to be her person! Back in February this year, my 2 year old cat, Ellie Rose, suddenly passed away from a heart tumor. I was devastated and heartbroken for her loss. A couple months ago we adopted a 3-year-old bunny from HSHV. We first chose her because she looked so incredibly cute, but we also relied on the intake information from the previous owner where we found out that she came from a household that had other pets. I was thinking about getting a puppy for a while so I figured I’d just start looking around the shelters. This was the first one I went to and when I laid eyes on Loki (Icy Charge) I knew he had to come home with me. After unexpectedly losing our first dog Halloween of 2024, we made it all of 3 days before we knew we needed another baby to love. After a few weeks of searching, we found sweet Zoey, who was being fostered by the incredible Gretchen after being brought into HSHV right before giving birth to her NINE babies.
