Skye and Victoria Make a Difference

Skye and Victoria made a generous donation to the Humane Society as part of a school project that Skye did to help out her community. Skye worked hard doing activities like dog walking and yard work to raise money, and then came to our shelter to give the proceeds to homeless animals in need. Paige is Pawsome!

Paige came in to donate to HSHV and gave the animals here a bounty of cat and dog food and lots of yummy treats. Paige was able to make this generous donation because she asked for items to donate for her birthday party instead of presents! A Helping Hand From Girls on the Run

The Girls on the Run team at Ypsilanti International Elementary School had to choose a community project at the end of their season, and organize all of their own efforts to make it possible. They chose to help out the Humane Society of Huron Valley, and we are so grateful! Shahpari Helps the Shelter

Shahpari and her friends did a fundraiser at their school, all to benefit shelter animals! Shahpari is an animal lover, and she wanted to help homeless creatures out however she could. Shahpari brought us the items that they collected through the fundraiser, and these included dog bowls, toys, leashes, dog and cat food, and beds. Ally Gives to Animals

Zoey the dog joined Ally’s family after they adopted her from HSHV, and after Zoey found her perfect ending, Ally decided to give back. Instead of birthday gifts, Ally asked her guests to bring donations to the shelter! Ally brought toys, food, litter, and towels for all of the animals who are still waiting for their forever homes. Maddie and Julia’s Super Bake Sale

When Maddie and Julia decided they wanted to help the Humane Society of Huron Valley, they got together a bunch of yummy treats and snacks. The animal habitat badge was a well-earned reward for Girl Scout Troop 41684. This troop raised funds through their girl scout meetings and also got donations from stores. They ended up bringing toys, food, blankets, cleaning materials and more to the shelter to help out our homeless animals. Cole’s Toys for the Animals

Cole realized that he had enough toys, but you know who doesn’t? The homeless animals waiting for a forever home at HSHV. Cole decided that for his birthday he wouldn’t ask for any more toys for himself, but instead ask for donations to help the animals live more comfortable lives in our shelter. Ava has always loved animals, and being able to help them however she can is number one on her list! And that list was what she shared for her birthday instead of a presents list. The things she asked for weren’t gifts for her, they were gifts for the animals. These gifts included cat toys, cat food, towels, and money.
