Bringing an animal into your family can have a lasting impact, and for Sophie and Michael, it made them want to give back. We love the enthusiasm of Kind Kids who make a difference to HSHV! Evan attended summer kids’ club, and when it was time for his class to pick a summer service learning project, they decided to choose the Humane Society of Huron Valley. Evan collected bottles and cans in the neighborhood, and when the collecting was done, Evan was able to donate a generous amount of money to our homeless shelter pets. Ronan is part of that community, and decided that HSHV was the place that he wanted to give back to. Instead of presents, Ronan asked for donations to pets for his seventh birthday. Chrissy had such an amazing birthday party, and one of the best things about it was that she chose to have her guests bring donations for homeless animals instead of presents for her! Chrissy did this because of how much she cares about animals (and that is A LOT!) and we here at HSHV were so grateful. Luke LOVES nature and animals – he even spends his free time watching shows about them! But Luke doesn’t just enjoy learning about animals, he also wanted to do something kind for the animals in his own community.
