For Hope’s 10th birthday she wanted to do something different. Instead of getting gifts from friends, Hope asked her friends to bring donations for the animals of HSHV. Simon: Birthday gifts for animals

Simon recently celebrated his 11th birthday. Instead of asking for gifts, he asked friends and family to either donate online or in person to HSHV. He donated blankets, toys, food, beds and money for the animals. Thank you so much, Simon!

Daphne: Project for cats

Daphne was given money from her church to create something that would help others. She chose to take that money and buy supplies to make cat beds and toys. Thank you Daphne for thinking of the kitties of HSHV for your project! We know they’ll love to snuggle in their new beds and play with all their new toys.

Addyson: Birthday donation

Addyson donated cat food, dog bones, and dog toys for her birthday. She was inspired to donate to HSHV because her family adopted their first dog, Yukon, from HSHV. Thank you so much Addyson for your donation and for providing Yukon with such a great home!

Lola and Finley: In memory of Lucy

Lola and Finley wanted to honor their late cat Lucy, who was adopted from HSHV. In Lucy’s memory they collected donations during a Salem Rocks’ hockey game for the homeless animals of HSHV. For Avery’s ninth birthday she wanted to do something special. She came to HSHV to celebrate her birthday in style with kisses from kittens and dog meet and greets. Nathan: Blankets for kitties

Nathan really likes cats. He saved up some of his allowance, asked his parents for help to purchase supplies, and made blankets for the homeless kitties of HSHV. Nathan says “I like making blankets, and I love cats. I wanted to honor my cat, Popeye, who my mom rescued from HSHV in 2002.” Thank you Nathan so much for your amazing donation!
