My favorite Pillow Thief

I’d been in my new, cat-friendly apartment for six months when I decided it was time to adopt my first furry pal. Having grown up with cats but never having cared for one alone, I figured I’d choose a young adult, maybe 2-5 years old, as an easy place to start. Scooby had other ideas. Michael & Sophie: Lemonade Donation

Michael and Sophie wanted to help out the animals of HSHV, so they set up a lemonade stand and donated their proceeds. Their family adopted their kitty from HSHV 16 years ago! She is still living with them and is super happy with her loving family. Thank you so much Michael and Sophie.

Ridgewood Elementary: From Recycling to Dog Toys

The amazing group from Ridgwood Elementary Girls on the Run voted to donate to HSHV for their annual donation. They are all animals lovers, so they got together and made dog toys out of recycled t-shirts. Thank you so much to such an amazing group of girls!

Bella: Donation for the Greater Good

The perfect Kitten

Last June, my family adopted a gray kitten, Noodles (formerly Luca) from HSHV. Now he is 1 year old. He’s very playful and enjoys playing with feather cat teaser toys, and loves to nibble people’s fingers. His best friends are 2 of our other cats, Rufus and Nucky. Nucky was also adopted from HSHV.
