Charlie is happy and healthy

I adopted Charlie (Charie) in early October 2018, and since we have had an amazing time. She loves her new siblings, Jonas and Goopie the cats, and has officially taken over the house lounge chair. She is also working hard to lose weight and succeeding. We go for walks, play with the red dot, and cuddle lots and lots. Thank you for my wonderful pup!   Charie now Charlie

Lucy opens up with us!

Lucy (now Jiji) was surrendered to HSHV because she didn’t fit well with her previous family’s situation. When I saw her on the website, I really wanted to meet her. Once we went to HSHV we asked for her and found her in a kitty condo sleeping. She was very thin and tiny and didn’t seem very happy, but was purring when we pet her. Say Say is The Best Dog Ever

We adopted Say Say (Sadie) after abruptly losing our dog of 13 years. Sadie was listed as a senior even though she didn’t act like one. New name, same Meow

I adopted this cat last August, when she was named Meow. I renamed her Jasnah, but she is just as vocal as ever! I left her home with a cat sitter for a few days at Thanksgiving, and when I came back I could hear her meowing for me through the door. Last year, she was so happy to get out of the shelter. She walked around my whole apartment within hours of opening the carrier. Nowadays she’s enjoying her life as a single cat in a quiet apartment with lots of toys and attention. Thanks to HSHV for bringing

Makayla Gives Back to Animals!

Instead of birthday gifts of her own this year, Makayla decided that she wanted to donate to the animal in need instead! Items such as cat food, litter, bedding, towels, treats, toys and even a cash donation to name a few! It is no secret that Makayla loves animals and we hope you know how much you have helped them while they await their forever homes. You have made a huge impact to ensure that these animals continue to stay safe, happy and healthy before going to their new loving homes! Thank you so much for your kind heart, Makayla!
