I came to your shelter 8 years ago looking for a pup. There were some puppies who were found along I-75, and I sat on the floor and this one in particular made a home on my lap. I was heartbroken after losing my 20 year old cat, so I decided to go to HSHV to see their kittens. I found this little guy and fell in love immediately. During the adoption I was informed that he was exposed to feline leukemia but had been cleared for adoption. I was a little hesitant at first in fear that I would lose him too. I was on the waitlist for the Love Train, to adopt another dog as a companion for my 6-month-old female beabull (beagle/bulldog mix). I checked the HSHV web page daily to see adoptable puppies. I took Mayflower in as a foster with no intention of adopting, as I had not gotten over losing the last of my 3 previous babies. BUT she stole my heart with her sweet yet very sassy energy.
