I adopted Roxy on 2/2/20. She is doing SO well! A few snippets: – Her walking has improved immensely. She topples over much less often but I’m still getting it looked at, to be safe. – She’s become more friendly with her fur siblings, the canine ones at least. Two years ago I went to HSHV to look at some puppies with a friend. My old dog had died months earlier, and I was beginning to think about a new one. In the last pen of the puppy area was a small, ragamuffin with a crooked underbite and a slightly off-center button nose. Late on the Friday before the Martin Luther King Day long weekend, I was scrolling through the HSHV app and saw the intake picture for 12-year-old Chloe. We met Pete (a.k.a., Woodstock) on our second visit in January 2020 at HSHV. He is such a handsome boy, and we love his character even more. He needed only couple days to adjust with us. Now he loves to explore the house, cuddle with everybody (including our guests), bring the girls to bed, wake us up very early in the morning, sit in the window and watch squirrels.
